“I attended a conference targeted to my industry in Nashville, Tennessee.
My primary reason for attending was to obtain insight on how to establish a working ‘system’ for my business. Even after eleven years in business, I was struggling to get organized. I was not running the business; it was running me!
I learned quite a lot at the conference and was eager to get back to the office and implement wonderful ideas. My flight was to leave on Sunday to return to Charlotte.
While at the workshop, I discovered that there was an optional workshop on Monday. The workshop was a training seminar for Camelot software.
I was somewhat computer literate and used my PC for billing, memos, client letters, etc. It was frustrating because I was using three or four different software packages
and none of them were targeted to my industry.
After reading some literature and talking to others who had used Camelot, I decided to change my flight arrangements and stay an additional day in Nashville!
It was a decision that I consider a turning point in my business. I am so pleased with Camelot, I am ordering the new, upgraded version. We are a small business (two trucks), but regardless of size, the same business principles apply. After twelve years, I can finally say that I’m well on the path to a working “system” for my business. Here are a few of my favorite things about Camelot:
- Provides an easy, self-instructing “Wizard” to guide with setup
- Allows customization; I can choose my own wording and pricing
- It’s easy to use and saves valuable time
- I can create custom reports and lists using demographics
- I can import payment data into Quickbooks.
