Camelot 3.x (and newer)
It is recommended that you install Camelot 3.x from the web download link you received via email after your purchase. This will get you the latest version of the software. Simply follow the instructions given in that email and on screen.
If you are installing from a CD, simply insert the CD, and wait for the program installation screen to appear, and follow the on-screen instructions. If you are installing on a network, click here for more information.
IMPORTANT: For all versions of Camelot, if you are running the Windows Vista operating system, you need to be sure you have turned off the User Account Control "feature" in Vista. Click here to learn how to do this.

Camelot 2.x (and older) Installation
Whenever you first insert the Camelot CD, after a few seconds (wait at least 30 seconds), you should see the Camelot Setup and Tutorial CD screen. If for some reason the CD doesn't start automatically, go to windows Start > Run, and type E:\Setup.exe (where E: is the drive letter for the CD drive on your computer).
The first thing you should do is watch the intro video for the software. Do this by clicking the Videos button on this Setup screen, and choosing the Intro & Overview Video option there. The Windows Media Player program will open and begin playing the Intro video. There are VCR-like controls at the bottom of the Windows Media Player screen that allow you to stop, pause, fast forward, or rewind, as well as a volume control to adjust the sound.
Also remember that you have access to tutorial video clips on the Camelot CD. From the Setup screen, click the Videos button and choose the Tutorial Videos option there. On this screen, there will be topics listed on the left, and as you choose one of those topics, individual video clips that are subtopics of that topic are listed on the right. So to view a tutorial clip, click the topic on the left, then the subtopic on the right that you want help on.
You also have a copy of the manual for the software on the CD when you click the Manuals button from this same Setup screen, but you should be able to get answers to all of your questions in this help file. The Manual and the Fast Start Guide are both Adobe Acrobat® PDF documents. If you don't have the Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can also install that from this CD (if you don't have it, when you click the Manual or Fast Start Guide button, you will be prompted to install it). If the Manual or Fast Start Guide do not display properly, then you may not have a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can install a version that will display these documents correctly by Install > Acrobat Reader from the Setup screen.
Anytime you want to either view the introduction video, tutorial video clips, or electronic versions of the Manual or Fast Start Guide, simply reinsert the Camelot CD and this Setup screen will appear giving you all of those options.
Installing the Software
The installation of Camelot is much like any other Windows program. Simply insert the CD, wait a few seconds, then click the Install button. There will be instructions on screen that take you through the rest of the installation.
1. Be sure that all programs on the computer are closed. Look at your taskbar (usually at the bottom of your screen) and close any programs listed there.
2. Insert the Camelot software CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer and then wait for about 10 seconds.
If the installation program does not automatically start, then
a. Click on your Windows Start button (usually the button at the bottom-left corner of your screen) and choose Run.
b. Type the letter of your CD-ROM drive (usually D or E) followed by a colon, a back-slash, and the word “Setup” (EXAMPLE: “D:\Setup”).
c. Once this is typed in with the correct letter for your CD-ROM drive, click the OK button. It will take a few seconds to load the first screen.
3. On the first screen you will click the Install > CAMELOT Software button, and choose whichever version you have purchased by clicking on the appropriate button. Network installations should be installed on the Server machine first.
NOTE: The program is sold and operates on a per license basis. Installing the Network version if you have only purchased a Single-User version will not make any difference. You will still only be able to run the software on one computer at a time.
