Using different Schedule Views

Setting Up Different Schedule Views
Ordinarily, as you enter new vehicles, whichever vehicles are active will be displayed as columns on the schedule screen.  You can also setup different Schedule Views which allow you to only show fewer vehicle columns on the schedule at a time.  Schedule Views also allow you to setup a different time frame to be shown on the schedule, so this enables you to have a view of the schedule that is convenient to scheduling night crews as opposed to day crews.

You must first have some vehicles entered into the program before you can define different views of them.  That is done on the Vehicle Setup screen (Misc/Setup pull-down > Vehicles option).

To define your schedule views, go to the Scheduling pull-down menu at the top of the screen and choose Schedule Views (or if you already have the schedule screen open, you can also right-click anywhere on it and choose the Schedule Views option).  Of course until you define them, there will be no views listed on that screen.

IMPORTANT:  To use schedule views, you must setup at least 2 of them there on the Schedule Views screen.

To add a new schedule view, click the Add New button at the bottom left of the Schedule Views screen, and enter a description for the new schedule view.  Then on the right, you can set the time range to be viewed on the schedule screen and and choose from the list of available vehicles to select the ones you want to be shown on this schedule view.  Select them by double-clicking on them, or clicking on them and then clicking the arrow button pointing to the right to move them over to the Vehicles to Show list.  Do the reverse to take them out of the Vehicles to Show list.  You can put them in whatever order in the Vehicles to Show list by clicking and dragging the vehicle name up or down in the list.

As you add more schedule views, you will be able to put the views into any display order as well by clicking and dragging the schedule view description in the list on the far left of this screen.

To delete a schedule view, simply choose the view you want to remove in the list on the left of the schedule views screen, and click the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.  Keep in mind that this doesn't delete the actual vehicle setup or anything - only the schedule view of the vehicles you have defined there.  By deleting all schedule views, you

HINT: You will probably always want to have one schedule view that shows all of your vehicles so you can see everything on your schedule when you need to.

Switching Between Schedule Views on the Schedule Screen
Once you have setup more than one schedule view, you will see drop-down box containing a list of the different schedule views you have defined at the top of the Schedule screen.  You can switch between schedule views by either selecting the view you want from the list, clicking the right or left arrow button on either side of the drop-down box to go through them in order, or holding the [Alt] key down on your keyboard and pressing the right or left arrow keys on your keyboard to go through the views in order.  The schedule screen will remember the last view you were on, so keep that in mind.
