Customizing Label Layouts

Follow these steps to setup a layout for your labels other than the ones that come with the program:

1. Know the specs on the label you want to setup (i.e. the exact size of the label, the exact size of the page, and how many rows and columns of the label are on 1 page, the spacing between each label on the page, and the margins around the edge of the page).
2. In Camelot, go to Reports, then Mail Merge Reports, highlight the Avery 5160 report, and click Copy at the bottom of the screen
3. Type in the new name for your label report and press enter (e.g. Avery 7160)
4. Now click the Layout/Design button to go into the Report Designer for that new label report
5. First resize the white area of the report label to be the size that you want  - that is the size of 1 of the labels you will be printing - not the page size, but the size of 1 label.  Do this by clicking and dragging the edges of that white area of the label and looking at the rulers at the top and side of the view to get it to the right size
6. Move and resize any of the data text boxes where the actual name and address appear so that they fit inside your new label size
7. Go to the File pull-down menu and choose Page Setup
8. Go to the Paper Size tab and choose the correct paper size (that you determined in step 1)
9. Go to the Layout tab and enter the correct number of columns on the page for your new labels, and the appropriate spacing for the columns , etc. (that you determined in step 1)
10. Go to the Margins tab and enter those parameters also according to your new label page and spacing dimensions (again that you determined in step 1)
11. Click OK, and then close the Report Designer with the X at the upper right, and say Yes to save changes.
