Adding "Or Current Resident" to your mailing labels

1. Go to Reports, double-click on Mail Merge Reports, select whichever label format you want to use (usually "Avery 5160 Labels"), and click Copy at the bottom of the Reports screen, and name your new copy, for example "Avery 5160 Labels - Current Resident".

2. Highlight this new report you've created, and click the Layout/Design button at the bottom of the reports screen.

3. In this ReportBuilder program, make room in the label layout for the new text box you will add.  You will need to click and drag the top two boxes there in the label up a little to make room for the "Or Current Resident" line.  Usually this would only need to be done for Residential labels, so you may just want to delete the CompanyName box there (if so, just click on it, and press Delete on your keyboard).

4. Then choose the Label toolbar control at the top (it will be the tool button with a little A on it without any sort of little grid behind the A), and click that onto the layout where you want the "or current resident" text to show.  It will put a new box there that says "Label1".  NOTE: If you don't see the Label toolbar button at the top, then you need to make that toolbar visible by going to the View > Toolbars pull-down menu option and selecting the Standard Components option there.

5. You will then see a blank text box at the top left of your screen, where you can type in the text "Or Current Resident" in place of Label1.  NOTE: If you don't see the blank box at the top where you can type text for the label, then you need to make that toolbar visible by going to the View > Toolbars pull-down menu option and selecting the Edit option there.

6. Reposition the boxes so they look right on the label now if necessary.

7. Then close the report designer with the X at the upper right and say Yes to save changes.
