Setting Permissions in Windows for non-Administrator users

If you have multiple users setup on a particular computer, and some of those users are not in the windows Administrator user group, then they may have trouble using Camelot because of permissions problems.

Follow these steps to set the necessary permissions for all users.  The steps would be similar for all versions of windows, but these steps will be for Vista:

1. Restart the computer, logging in as an administrator user.

2. From the windows Start menu, choose Computer

3. double-click on your local disk (C:) drive

4. double-click on the Program Files folder (or for 64-bit users, the Program Files (X86) folder.

5. right-click on the Camelot3 folder you will see listed here, and choose Share (if you are using the older version of Camelot, the folder name is just Camelot).

6. Go to the Security tab of the file Properties screen that appears, and click the Edit button there.

7. In the list of user groups, find the one named "Users" and highlight it, and then check the box under Allow next to Full Control, and then click OK, and OK again on the file properties

8. now back in the program files folder view, right-click on the Firebird folder, and choose Share

9. Go to the Security tab, and again click Edit

10. In the list of user groups, find the one named "Users" and highlight it, and then check the box under Allow next to Full Control, and then click OK, and OK again on the file properties

That should give all users the permissions they need to run the Camelot program on this computer.
