Authorization Codes are needed to open the software
The software is protected from piracy through the use of authorization codes. After having the program installed for the initial 30-day period, or after re-installing the software onto a new computer, you will need to get new authorization codes to continue the use of the software.
To get to the Product Authorization screen (if it isn't already appearing when you try to open the software), go to the Tools pull-down menu option at the top of your screen and choose Register.
Once you are on the Product Authorization screen, then you can click the button you will see there in the middle of the screen to obtain your codes over the internet.
!!! IMPORTANT !!! - Be sure of the following when you are entering your information on the web form to obtain codes:
1. You must enter the phone number we have on file for your company in the correct format which is xxx-xxx-xxxx (3-digit area code first with no 1 in front, followed by your 7 digit phone number - e.g. 615-555-1212). If you live outside of the U.S., then you should have been given a special number to enter as your phone number to obtain codes. You will only be able to obtain codes using the correct number.
2. You must enter your valid email address to receive your codes. Please double-check your email address entry for accuracy. Our automated system checks for new code requests every 5 minutes and immediately processes them and emails back the code you need. Please realize that our system has no control over how long your email service provider takes to send and receive your emails. Some email service providers take longer than others because of volume (e.g. AOL, Yahoo, Gmail seem to be the slowest).
3. If you use any sort of Spam blocking utility for your email, be sure you have set it to allow messages from info@camelotsoftware.com. That is the address the authorization code will be emailed from, and so you must be able to receive all messages from that address. Also, some email programs automatically put emails they deem as suspicious in a junk mail folder, so be sure to check there for your authorization code email as well.
If you do not receive your authorization code within 30 minutes of sending your request, then please try again. Our automated system will sometimes need to be restarted, and so that could be the reason for the delay.
If you still have problems, please send an email to us at info@camelotsoftware.com and be sure to include your name, company name, address, telephone numbers, and Product ID code in the email, and we will reply promptly with the authorization information you need.
You can go directly to the web form for requesting authorization codes from this link: http://www.camelotsoftware.com/OrderForms/CamelotCodes.htm.
After getting your appropriate authorization codes initially, there are some things that could cause you to need them again in the future. They are as follows:
1. If you add another computer to your network, then you will need to purchase an additional network license, and also obtain a new authorization code.
2. If you get a new computer and need to reinstall the software, then you will need to get new authorization codes.
3. If you are on a payment plan, then each month you will need to get another authorization code until your payments are complete.
4. If you restore from a backup that contains older codes, then you would have to get codes again since those would now be invalid.
5. If your system date gets changed to be less than it was the last time you used the program, you may have to get authorization codes again. This can be avoided by:
(a) being sure your system date is correct before getting codes the first time
(b) not changing your system date to an invalid date
(c) if you do have to change your system date temporarily for some reason, be sure you don't open the software while it is changed and until you set it back to be correct
(d) if you have to change your system date to do something in the software (although there is no good reason for that), be sure you backup your database prior to changing the date, and then restore it back after you have changed the date back to the correct date.
