Syncing to Outlook
New to Camelot version 3 is a feature to sync your schedule to a Microsoft Outlook calendar.
In order to perform this sync, you need a full version of Microsoft Outlook installed on the same computer that runs Camelot, and it should be version 2000 or higher.
To use the sync, you need to have first setup a different Profile in Outlook for each of your vehicles/crews that you have setup in Camelot.
For the most up to date instructions on creating new profiles in Outlook, please click here to refer to Microsoft's support kb topic on that.
When adding your new profile, please enter a new unique name for each profile, which should be the same as the Vehicle name in Camelot.
Also, the outlook utility will then prompt you to add a new email account for each profile, which you can do if you'd like, but you don't need an email account for each vehicle in order to have a calendar and be able to sync to it, so you can click Close on that screen and then OK to create the new profile without an email address.
Once you have the new Outlook profiles, you just need to assign these profiles to your Vehicles in Camelot. In Camelot, go to Misc/Setup > Vehicles, and on the Profile tab, there is a place at the bottom to enter the Outlook Profile name for this vehicle, and a password if applicable. If you named your profiles the same as your vehicle names, then you won't have to do this.
Now anytime you want to copy your Camelot schedule to an Outlook profile's calendar, just open the Camelot schedule screen so that you are viewing the days you want to copy, right-click on the schedule and choose Sync to Outlook. It will copy the jobs (for the days and vehicles that you are currently viewing on that schedule) to each of the individual Outlook profiles that you have setup.
PLEASE NOTE: This is sync is only an "export" sync - that is, it will only go from your Camelot schedule to the Outlook calendars. There is no option to bring anything back from Outlook into Camelot.
