Configuring Windows Firewall for Camelot Mobile

To be able to connect to your Camelot Mobile Server machine remotely, the firewall on this machine must not be blocking port 9797.  Follow the appropriate instructions below to add the exceptions for this port.

Keep in mind that these instructions are for adding the appropriate exceptions to the 'Windows Firewall', which is usually the only firewall in use.  Since it is possible that you have installed and are running some other firewall program in addition to or instead of Windows Firewall, you need to be sure this port is added as an exception/unblocked there as well.  The instructions would be similar to below.

-----------------------------
For Windows 7:
-----------------------------
1. From Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel
2. Find and open (double-click on) Windows Firewall there
3. Choose 'Advanced Settings' on the left
4. Select 'Inbound Rules' on the left, and then on the far right, click on 'New Rule...'
5. Select 'Port' and click Next
6. Select 'TCP' and 'Specific Local Port' and enter 9797 there for the specific local port (or if you have changed the port used by the server, enter the appropriate port number you've chosen)
7. Select 'Allow the connection' and click Next
8. Check all boxes on next screen, and click Next
9. Name the exception 'CamelotMobile' and click Finish
10. Now select 'Outbound Rules' on the far left, and on the far right, click on 'New Rule...', and then repeat steps 5-9 above.

-----------------------------
For Windows XP,Vista:
-----------------------------
1. From Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel
2. Find and open (double-click on) Windows Firewall there
3. Select the 'Exceptions' tab at the top
4. Click 'Add Port...'
