NOTE: This error would only happen possibly on a Windows 95 or 98 installation, and should not happen on a 2000 or XP installation, since the MDAC is a part of those operating systems.
Problem: After installing, you get an error message like "Error opening database" or "DLL file missing..."
Sometimes if our installation does not successfully install the MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components), you will need to install them yourself.
You can do this easily by:
1. Put in the Camelot CD (close the Intro Video window if it opens automatically, and the Setup screen).
2. Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop
3. Right-click on the CD drive that will be listed there, and choose Explore.
4. There will be a folder named Microsoft Updates on the CD. Double-click this folder, and in its contents, find the file named "mdac250.exe"
5. Right-click on this "mdac250.exe" file and choose Copy
6. Go back to your C: drive in the My Computer window and right-click on it, and choose Paste.
7. Double-click on your C: drive, find the "mdac250.exe" file listed there, and double-click on it. This will run the Microsoft installation program to reinstall all of the MDAC, so follow the on-screen instructions.
8. Restart your computer and you should probably then be able to open the software.
