Sending Emails

Remember that an email is just another type of mailout, so when you define an email on the Correspondence Definitions screen, it can be marked to send to a client just like any other mailout on the Mailouts tab of the Contact Information screen, or by it being used as one of the Funnel Detail Source entries on the Marketing Funnels screen.
 
Then when you are ready to send emails to clients that you have marked to receive emails, go to the Calls and Mailouts screen, select the Email correspondence, and click the Create Now button.  Be sure that you have set your Outgoing SMTP mail host name properly on the email tab of the Company/Misc Info setup screen. 
 
You will then be told if any of the clients you have marked to send an email to do not have a valid email address, so you will know that not everyone can receive the email.  Then you will see a preview of all of the individual emails so you can make changes to them individually if you need to, and then click Send when you are ready.
 
IMPORTANT:  It is always a good idea to send an email to yourself first just to see how it looks and to proofread the message before sending it to a long list of clients.
