When you click on the Search For button (the label at the upper left corner is actually a button) on the Client/Contact list or the Quotes/Orders list screen, you will see the Select Search Fields screen.
This is where you can choose from the available list of fields on the left and move them to the available fields in the list on the right. To remove a field from the search list on the right, just double-click on the field. Likewise, to move a field from the list on the left to the list on the right, double-click on the field in the list.
You can reorder the fields in the list on the right by clicking and dragging the field name to a new location. Keep in mind that the order in which you have the fields in the list on the right is the order in which they will be searched.
For larger databases, it is important not to have too many fields that you are searching in, or else your searches will take longer than necessary.
